Summit Area Public Foundation Grant to The Discovery Orchestra

The Discovery Orchestra is pleased to announce that the Summit Area Public Foundation (SAPF) has approved a grant in the amount of $2,000 to support the orchestra’s interactive and educational programs that help people connect to classical music through accessible and entertaining formats.

Using this funding, the Orchestra will provide New Providence Seniors, Summit Seniors, Chatham Seniors, Home First and the Community Food Bank with complimentary Discovery Concert tickets.  Additionally, complimentary music listening lectures are planned for senior and youth organizations in the Summit area.

SAPF was founded in 1972 and has approximately $16.2 million in assets. The mission of the SAPF is to foster philanthropy in the Summit, NJ area by identifying local needs and offering donors flexible ways to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors.  Visit the foundation’s website here.
