We are pleased to announce that our television show, Discover Beethoven’s 5th ,has won two 2011 Telly Awards, one in the cultural category and one in the education category! Additionally, we have also won a People’s Telly, as judged by the members of the YouTube community.
Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition which this year received over 13,000 entries from all 50 states and many foreign countries. The Telly Awards annually showcase the best work of the most respected video and film producers, advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs.
A prestigious judging panel of over 500 accomplished industry professionals, each a past winner of a Silver Telly and a member of The Silver Telly Council, judged the competition, upholding the historical standard of excellence that Telly represents. The Silver Council evaluated entries to recognize distinction in creative work – entries do not compete against each other – rather entries are judged against a high standard of merit. Less than 10% of entries are chosen as Winners of a Silver Telly, the highest honor. Other outstanding work is awarded a Bronze Telly.
