Thank You, Elliot

Our long-time External Relations Director, Elliot Dee, will be stepping down from his role as of July 1st. After almost ten years with The Discovery Orchestra, Elliot discerned that now was the right time to end his tenure. As we’re sure you will agree, Elliot will be greatly missed, not only as a colleague but as a friend to all in the Discovery Orchestra family.

Elliot came to The Discovery Orchestra in August of 2013 to work with the Board and staff on the Orchestra’s new strategic and fundraising plans and joined the staff as External Relations Director in July of 2014. With a warm and gracious style, valuable expertise in many areas of development, his creative thinking, and his unrelenting positive attitude, Elliot helped the Orchestra achieve incredible successes during his time with us.

We are so grateful for his passionate belief in our music listening mission and for the wonderful relationships he enjoyed with patrons, staff and board members. While he will be hard to replace, Elliot has laid the groundwork for the Orchestra to continue to move forward in dynamic and impactful ways in the next few years. Elliot has let us know he won’t be a stranger, and looks forward to attending Discovery Orchestra events as an audience member in the years to come.
